About Us

RIX-SAWS AFRICA was founded in 2005 by two partners, Franz Klein and Robert Schrittwieser who saw a gap in the market for quality band saw blades manufactured in Germany.

Our German Supplier, Sägen-Mehring, founded at Dresden/Saxonia in 1913 and today opperating from Hockenheim have established themselves as a leader in quality blades in 34 Countries worldwide.

In 2008 we became the sole distributor for PE-TRA band saw machines to offer the full package in bandsaw machining.
